Debra (Hornsby) Holzhauer, 49 of El Paso formerly of Fairbury, passed away at 8:50 pm, Saturday, July 17, 2010 with her family by her side after a 5 year courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer at her residence in El Paso.
Funeral services will be 7 pm, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, with David Barker officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, prior to the service also at the memorial home in Fairbury. Cremation will be accorded at the conclusion of the service with an inurnment to take place at a later date in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Debbie was born February 12, 1961 in Iola, WI the daughter of Ronald and Jackie (Howler) Hornsby. She married Rodney J. Holzhauer in Pontiac on July 28, 1979. He survives in El Paso.
Other survivors include; her mother; Jackie Hornsby, El Paso, three sisters; Dolores Hornsby, El Paso, Dina (Brian) Bobbitt, Chenoa, Dawn Hornsby, El Paso, three brothers; George (Tina) Hornsby, Waukesha, WI, Ronny (Terry) Hornsby, El Paso, Jimmy (Kalene) Hornsby, El Paso, mother in-law; Doris Sexton, Pontiac, three sister in-laws; Marsha (LeRoy) Meister, Fairbury, Janice (Bob) Winks, Janet Duncan both of Kinmundy, IL, three brother in-laws; Jeff (Renia) Holzhauer, Pontiac, John (Cindy) Holzhauer, Alma, IL, Michael (Karrie) Sexton, Friendship, TX, many nieces and nephews, which she lived her every last minute for and her lifelong best friend; Vickie Willhoite.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Hornsby, father in-law; Paul Holzhauer brother in-law; Jerry Holzhauer and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family in care of Rod Holzhauer.
Debbie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
