Delbert W. Ross, 75 of Chenoa, died at 10:30 pm, Monday, October 2, 2017 at his residence in Chenoa.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Friday, October 6, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Deacon Mike An officiating. Burial will follow at Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm prior to the funeral also at the funeral home in Chenoa on Friday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Family of Delbert Ross.

Mr. Ross was born on August 26, 1942 in Chenoa, the son of Imon and Rachel (Jacobs) Ross. He married Imogene Church on March 19, 1977 in Chenoa.  His wife of 40 years survives in Chenoa.

Other survivors include two sons, David Ross of Charleston; and Ricky Ross of Pontiac; one step-son, Jeffrey Church of Forrest; one sister, Jane Corbett of Indianapolis, IN; a special niece, Christina Ross-Bobinski of Mesa, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

His parents, two brothers, one twin brother, three sisters, one son, Delbert Ross, Jr. and step-son, Joe W.L. Church also preceded him in death.

Mr. Ross was employed as a welder for over 30 years at Caterpillar Inc.  He was a member of Chenoa Baptist Church.  His tough exterior held a heart of gold that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
