Fairbury – Dennis Kaisner, 73, of Fairbury, passed away at 6:58am, July 24, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Fairbury. Fr. Scott Archer will be officiating.
Burial will be in Strawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm, Monday, July 27, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The rosary will be recited on Monday at 4:30 also at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Catholic Church or the Brian Munz Safety Complex.
Dennis was born November 18, 1941 in Fairbury the son of Francis and Martha Sutter Kaisner.
He married Marcia Ann Freehill on January 25, 1980 in Fairbury. She survives.
Also surviving are his son Eric (Angela) Kaisner of Chicago; grandson Lukas Kaisner; sisters, Evelyn Yoder of Fairbury, Ethel Mae (Robert) Bryeans of Poplar Grove, and Marlene Kiger of Napoleon, OH; and brother, Glenn Kaisner of St. Petersburg, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willis and Earl Kaisner.
Dennis was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam.
He was part owner of MK Implement in Fairbury. He also worked for Honeggers, PTC Alliance and Double M in Fairbury.
Dennis was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, American Legion and the VFW. He also was past president and a 25 year board member for the Fairbury Fair.
Dennis was an avid woodworker and he loved fishing.
