Diane M. Bobbitt, 81, Chenoa, died at 11:23 am Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her residence, Chenoa.

Mrs. Bobbitt was born May 13, 1941 in Rantoul, IL the daughter of Henry and Etta Fruhling Ackerman.  She married Charles A. Bobbitt on January 19, 1960 in Rantoul.  He preceded her in death on February 20, 1993.

Survivors include her children, Denise (Kevin) Green, Chenoa, Brian (Rita) Bobbitt, KY, Kevin (Nikki) Bobbitt, Chenoa, four grandchildren, John and Adam Cerda, Wendy Raines and Zach Bobbitt, eight great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ackerman and a grandson, Bradlee Bobbitt.

Mrs. Bobbitt had worked at the Dwight Correctional Center for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Chenoa.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday, March 11, 2023 followed by her funeral at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Chenoa with Pastor Rich Likeness officiating.  Burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is assisting with arrangements.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Charity of their choice.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank God for Diane's special niece, Jeanette who Diane loved dearly.
