Obituary
J. Donald Birge, 72, Southaven, MS died on March 13, 2012 at Life Pointe Village, Southaven, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax with the Rev. Greg Summers officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the Colfax American Legion Davis - Kerber post. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00am Saturday also at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be given to Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Mr. Birge was born December 29, 1939 in Illinois the son of Jesse Thomas and Anna Josephine Taylor Birge. He married Phyllis Wyant. She survives in Southaven, MS.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Patricia Howell, Hernando, MS, Nancy (Mike) Jones, Nesbit, MS one sister, Barbara Jean (Ronald) Towner, Arizona, his grandchildren, Heather Cook, Ryan, Cross, Kassye Howell, Cody Jones, Matthew Jones, John Michael Jones, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Birge served in the US Air Force.
