Obituary
Lexington – Donald M. O'Meara, 54, of Lexington, passed away at 1:17am, April 27, 2015 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral service will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm, Thursday, April 30, 2015 also at the funeral home.
Cremation will be accorded following the services.
Donald was born June 19, 1960 in Chicago, the son of William and Beverly Gordan Holtz.
He married Barbara Thirstrup on October 23, 1989 in Markham. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Beverly Holtz of Braidwood; children, David O'Meara of Romeoville, Amanda Esparza, Donna (Cesar) Palmerin, Joe O'Meara all of Joliet, Angie O'Meara of Lexington, Chrissy O'Meara of Saunemin, and Megan O'Meara of Lexington; sister, Beverly (Michael) Collins of Country Club Hills; 16 grandchildren.
His step-father preceded him in death.
Donald is a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked as a service manager for 15 years and then worked for Prairie Central Coop for 10 years.
He enjoyed fishing, racing and time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
