Obituary
Fairbury: Donna Mae Brackman, 74, Fairbury died 5:08pm Friday, December 8, 2006 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Mrs. Brackman was born August 12, 1932 at Bloomington, IL the daughter of Blanche and Emmitt Hinthorne. She married William Henry Brackman December 31, 1950 at Forrest, IL. He died March 22, 1982.
Surviving are her children: Linda Jean (Larry) Marrs, Fairbury, Larry William (Rhonda) Brackman, Bloomington, and Ronald Lee (Carol) Brackman, Pontiac.
Also surviving are her grandchildren: Jesse Lee Brackman, Shawn William Brackman, Jodi Nicole Brackman; step granddaughter, Jami (Rich) Anderson and step grandson, Rodney Hummel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty Jean Brackman, brother, Edward Jesse Platt, and children, Teri Mae, Gary Wayne, Diana Darlene, and Scottie Dean Brackman.
Mrs. Brackman operated a group home for the mentally handicapped. She cared for and loved many children over the years having opened up her home from 1977 to the present. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and loved her dogs and enjoyed Ricky Van Shelton music.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Livingston County Humane Society or to Futures Unlimited.
