Donna Belle Bressner, 70 of Fairbury, died at 8:20 am, Thursday, September 16, 2010 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Lucia Oerter officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Friday, September 17, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be directed to Donna Bressner Memorial Fund, c/o Busey Bank.
Donna was born July 24, 1940 in Pontiac the daughter of Harry and Sylvia (Butler) Holland. She married Gale Bressner on March 18, 1961 in Pontiac. Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include three children; Penny (Willy) Clem, Philo, Glenn (Leslie) Bressner, Champaign, Darren (Gretchen) Bressner, Elsberry, MO, nine brothers and sisters; Gerald (Donna) Holland, Fairbury, Tom (Dawn) Holland, Rockford, Ethel Slagell, Gridley, Roger Holland, Granite City, Sam (Petie) Holland, Mondamin, IA, Patty (Augi) Schmitz, Sarasota, FL, Robert (Dee) Holland, Des Moines, IA, Margie (Jack) Hohenshell, Kansas City, KS, Jenny (Wayne) Erber, Chesapeake, VA, and three grandchildren; Brody Block, Broadlands, Grant and Grace Bressner, Elsberry, MO..
Mrs. Bressner was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Pontiac and a 1958 graduate of Pontiac Twp. High School. She worked at General Telephone, Pontiac for many years and was currently employed by Prairie Central Cooperative, Weston as an office assistant. Donna's life was her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and siblings. She looked forward to the harvest season and enjoyed working with the staff at Prairie Central Cooperative and the many farmers she encountered.
