Obituary
Dorothy M. Bose, 100, a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Colfax and formerly of Fairbury died at 4:56 am Friday, April 4, 2008 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Colfax.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax with the Rev. Connie Frase officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Colfax. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 10:00 to 10:45 am Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Bose was born February 26, 1908 in Minier, IL the daughter of James F. and Cora E. Eades Deitz. She married Harold C. Bose on December 20, 1935 in Shirley, IL. He died June 7, 1971.
Surviving is one son, Richard L. Bose, Lexington, IL, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Bose was a 1925 graduate of Stanford High School and later attended Illinois State University obtaining her teachers certificate.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax where she organized and conducted the choir. She belonged to the Salem Club of Lexington, the Music Lovers Club, Fairbury and the Never Too Old Club, Colfax. She also was an avid Cubs Fan.
The family suggests memorials be given to a charity of their choice.
