Colfax: Dorothy L. (Calder) Cashmer, 90, of Colfax passed away at 5:55 am, Friday, January 5, 2007, at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac, IL
Dorothy was born March 22, 1916 in rural Lexington, a daughter to John and Jessie (Greenlee) Gloyd. She married John Ellsworth Calder on January 11, 1937 in Kankakee He died January 8, 1960. She later married Arthur W. Cashmer on December 8, 1960 in Cissna Park. He died May 28, 1978.
Her funeral service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax with Pastor Dan Jassman officiating the service. Burial will take place at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. There will be a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 also at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jane (Anthony) Calder-Tomich, Colfax, two brothers, Jesse I. Gloyd, Valparaiso, IN and Kenneth Gloyd, Colfax, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Her parents, one brother, Iryl Gloyd and an infant son, Jr. preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a member of the Colfax United Methodist church and volunteered at the Livingston County Humane Society.
