Dorothy Marie Denham, 88, Pontiac and formerly of Fairbury, died at 1:44 pm Sunday, October 28, 2018 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Dorothy's funeral will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.  Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:45 am Wednesday also at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the First Baptist Church or South Eastern Livingston County Ambulance Service, both in Fairbury.

Dorothy was born October 5, 1930 in Ashland, IL the daughter of Corrie and Fanola Burres Rice.  She married Laymon Clinton Denham on April 29, 1951 in Fairbury.  He preceded her in death on December 28, 2017.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Denham, Pontiac, three grandchildren, Michelle (Justin) Besancon, Wauconda, Eric (Missy) Hoover and Jennifer Hoover, both of Pontiac, five great grandchildren, one sister, Judy Ann Green, Bloomington and one brother, James Wallace Rice, Louisville, KY.

She is preceded in death by two daughters, Lois Hoover and Karen Denham, three brothers and one sister.

Dorothy worked as a waitress at McDonald's Family Restaurant, Fairbury for many years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fairbury and its Maranatha Society.   She enjoyed camping and watching all the Chicago sports teams.  But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
