Dorothy M. Schopp, 89 of Chenoa, died at 9:20 pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Hopedale Nursing Home, Hopedale.

Her funeral mass will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. A private burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in rural Chenoa.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 am prior to the mass on Wednesday, also at the church in Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schopp was born April 10, 1928 in El Paso, the daughter of Rufus and Maude (Pennington) Ellis. She married Richard E. "Gene" Schopp on May 8, 1948 in Chenoa. He passed away November 23, 2006. Her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister and 1 daughter, Mary Lou Schopp also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son; Bill Schopp of Chenoa; two daughters; Dorothy (Larry) Harms and Carol Ann (Michael) Howard both of Chenoa, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa, IL.
