Obituary
Dorothy M. Vogel, 91, of Benson died October 28, 2007 at 4:30 AM at Roanoke Apostolic Christian Home, Roanoke.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 5-7PM at St. John's Catholic Church, Benson. The rosary will be recited at 7:00PM.
Funeral will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 10:00 AM also at the Church with visitation one hour prior. Monsignor Charles Beebe will be officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery, Benson.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, the Benson Ambulance or the Apostolic Christian Home.
Dorothy was born September 22, 1916 in Metamora the daughter of Edward and Hilda Elbert Obery. They preceded her in death.
She married George A. Vogel on February 2, 1938. He died April 16, 1992.
Surviving are two children, Dr. Edward (Barbara) Vogel of Green Bay, WI and Diane (Robert) Wheelwright of Benson; 11 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; one brother Gene (Marge) Obery of Metamora.
She was preceded in death by one sister Viola Gensler and three brothers, Elmer, Walter, and Eddie Obery.
Dorothy was a member of St. John's Catholic Church where she was past president of the Alter and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Benson Home Extension.
Dorothy farmed with her husband in the Benson area.
