Obituary
Douglas W. Doran, 57, Bloomington, died at 8:52pm Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at his residence in Bloomington.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Inurnment will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be directed to the Sara Doran Educational Fund, C/O Daniel Deneen and Gary Johnson Law Offices, 202 S. El Dorado Road, Suite A-1, Bloomington, IL 61704.
Doug was born December 11, 1956 in Pontiac, IL the son of Donald and Shirley Tinges Doran. He married Jennifer Kennedy on February 10, 2006 in Bloomington, IL. She survives in Bloomington.
Other survivors include his children, Sara Doran, at home, Devin (Erica) Doran, Deanna (Bryant) Theobald, both of Bloomington, mother and step father, Shirley and Jim Stymiest, Manville, IL, twelve grandchildren, one brother, Mitch (Jean) Doran, Dwight, IL, two nieces, one nephew, father and mother-in-law, David and Margo Kennedy, brother-in-law, Tim Kennedy, all of Pontiac, IL.
He is preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Debra Shockley and Mary Doran.
Doug was a graduate of Chenoa High School. He was employed as a tire technician at Owen Tire and Auto, Bloomington and enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting, NASCAR, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and time with his family and friends.
