Obituary
F. Douglas Stewart, 67, Forrest, died at 9:25pm Friday, April 26, 2013 at his residence in Forrest.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Deb Honegger officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Memorial offerings may be directed to the family or OSF St. James, Pontiac.
Doug was born February 28, 1946 in Fairbury, IL the son of Frank and Lois Mae (Farney) Stewart. He married Barbara J. Tyler on February 9, 1963 in Forrest. She survives in Forrest.
Other survivors include one daughter; Jean (Darrell) Rabe, Fairbury and their children: Jarrin Rabe and Kenzie (fiancé, Nick Grebner) Rabe: one son Scott (Lori) Stewart, St. Joseph, IL and their children, Kylie and Jake Stewart.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Doug was a 1964 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing high school and enjoyed playing fast pitch softball with the Sibley Hawks.
