Cooksville – Duane E. Stroh, 80, of Cooksville, passed away at 7:00pm, August 17, 2018, at his residence.

His funeral will be held at 12:00pm, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor.

Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:45am, Thursday also at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family to be used for a memorial bench to be placed in Cooksville.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Duane was born October 8, 1937, in Saybrook, the son of Marvin A. and Anne E. Petersen Stroh

He married DeLoris S. Sexton on September 1, 1973, in McDowell. She passed away on July 17, 2008.

Surviving are his daughter, Julie (Greg) Tarter of Hopedale; grandchildren, Morgan (Fiancé Dustin Probst) of Stewardson, Holly (Austin) Bell of Hopedale, and Tonya Tarter of Hopedale; sister, Sandra Cimbura of Normal and brother, Gary (Becky) Stroh of Cropsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Beverly Steele and brother-in-law, Gary Cimbura.

Duane is a veteran of the United States Army.

He graduated from Octavia High School and was a lifetime truck driver.
