Obituary
E. Charlene Augspurger, 79, of Chenoa died at 10:19 am Friday, May 9, 2008 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 13, 2008 St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa with Fr. Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with a Divine Mercy Chaplet service at 8:00 pm.
Mrs. Augspurger was born February 22, 1929 in Chenoa the daughter of Alvyn and Eleanor Wiedinger Schopp. She married Marlow E. Augspurger August 12, 1948 in Chenoa. He died May 4, 2004.
Surviving are three daughters, Marlene Augspurger, Sheila Murphy, and Debra (Dan) Ehrhardt, all of Chenoa, one brother, Jerome Schopp, Leroy, IL, two sisters, Genevieve Boian, Normal, IL, Imogene Marlin, Madison, WI, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Augspurger received her teacher's certificate from the Illinois State Normal University. She was employed as a legal secretary at the law office of William Fehr and later worked for Caughey, Legner and Freehill attorneys at law. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa and the Altar and Rosary Society.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Community Cancer Center or the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was loved and will be missed by her family and freinds.
