Obituary
Fairbury – E. June Horine, 83, of Fairbury died at 10:37 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, May 26, 2008 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the church.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating the service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Wing, IL.
Mrs. Horine was born June 8, 1924 in Chenoa the daughter of John and Rachel (Ehrhardt) Fleener. She married Vaughn Horine on October 2, 1940 in Burlington, IA. He passed away June 14, 1991.
Surviving are two daughters; Beverly (Jerry) Bachtold, Forrest, Barbara (Ed) Oltman, Smyrna, TN, one son; Richard (Brenda) Horine, Forrest, IL, one sister; Enid Winslow, Watseka, IL, ten grandchildren; Scott Bachtold, Matt Bachtold, Brad Bachtold, Shay Wessels, Todd Offill, Trent Offill, Hope Herzog, Chad Oltman, Michele Bright, Laurie Horine and twenty five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, one infant brother and one infant great granddaughter.
June was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairbury and lifelong resident of the Fairbury – Forrest area. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, quilting, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Fairbury or Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
