Edith M. Butler, 97, Gibson City and formerly of Fairbury, died at 3:32 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Gibson Area Annex, Gibson City.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, December 29, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.  Visitation will be 10:00 – 10:45 am Friday also at the memorial home.  The family suggests memorials be given to the charity of their choice.

Mrs. Butler was born November 27, 1920 the daughter of Clarence and Annie Garmon.  She married Everett S. Butler on November 11, 1939 in Kentland, IN.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 1993.

Survivors include one son, Ronald (Nora) Butler, Hickory, NC; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one sister, Delsie Johnson, Paxton, IL.

She is preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Nichols.
