Obituary
Anchor – Edna M. Mizell, 79, of Anchor, passed away at 7:35pm, August 23, 2014, at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral will be held at 10:00am, on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. The Reverends Stephen and Lisa
Goodwin will be officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Edna was born June 24, 1935 in Austin, KY, the daughter of Lewis and Eva Frances Jones.
She married Harvey Jewell Mizell on January 17, 1953 in Salina, TN. He died September 28, 2005.
Surviving are her sons, Jewell B. (Pansy L.) Mizell of Ypsilanti, MI and Robert L. (Susan L.) Mizell of Colfax; grandchildren, Jewell B. (Debbie) Mizell II of Ypsilanti, MI, Jeremiah B. (Jessica) Mizell of Allen Park, MI, Joshua B. Mizell of Ypsilanti, MI, Amanda L. (Eric) Leslie of Edwardsville, and Amy L. (Lawson) Cassels of Normal; great-grandchildren, Alexander Mizell, Taylor Mizell, Tyler Shurtz, Henry Leslie; brother, Lester (Jewell) Jones of Indianapolis and sisters, Elizabeth Jones of Bolling Green, KY.
Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
