Edward Carl Short, 82, Warsaw, IN and formerly of Forrest, died at 6:18 am Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, IN.

A funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Inurnment will be in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest with full military honors provided by the Forrest American Legion. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be given to your local Humane Society. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. Short was born December 5, 1934 in Streator, IL the son of James Homer and Alice Gertrude Keating Short.

Survivors include 11 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Mr. Short was an electronic technician and served in the United States Army. He was an avid Norte Dame sports fan.
