Obituary
Eldon E. Wahls, 91, Chenoa died at 4:00 pm Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Heritage Health, Normal.
Friends and family will gather at 1:00 pm Monday, June 23, 2014 at Chenoa Twp Cemetery for a graveside service conducted by Pastor Jerry Koch. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is assisting with arrangements.
The family suggest memorials be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Chenoa or the Chenoa Fire Department.
Mr. Wahls was born March 25, 1923 in Chenoa, IL the son of Lawrence and Minnie Meir Wahls. He married Mildred Leach on April 9, 1944 in Lexington, IL. She survives in Chenoa, IL.
Also surviving is a son, Greg (Sharon) Wahls, Chenoa, two grandchildren, David (Elizabeth) Wahls, Dana (Joe) Harner, and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Leach, Bloomington, IL.
He is preceded in death by one sister.
Mr. Wahls was a 1941 graduate of Chenoa High School. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Chenoa and the McLean County Farm Bureau. He farmed his entire life in McLean County. In retirement he enjoyed his grandchildren, photography and reading.
Eldon will be missed by his loving wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
