Obituary
Elizabeth "Tish" Hakes, 76, of Fairbury, passed away at 3:26 pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at her residence in Fairbury.
There will be a private funeral service held at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will take place at Avoca Township Cemetery, rural Fairbury.
Visitation will be 2 to 4:00 pm, Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Community Cancer Center, Normal.
Tish was born February 13, 1937 in Jasonville, IN, the daughter of Jake and Orpha Wesnidge. She married Richard Hakes August 26, 1983 in Cornell. He survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include two daughters, Toni (Merle) Stalter of Chenoa; Jackie Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; one son, William "Bill" Haseman of IN; two step-children, Elizabeth Ann Noulk of Tempe, AZ; Gary Hakes of Bloomington, IL; four sisters, Nancy, Dorothy, Patsy, Virginia Rose "Skip" and one brother, Mike Wesnidge all of Indiana; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son, Ricky and daughter Tammy K. Powell in 2006.
