Ella Mae Shoemaker, 90, of Colfax passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at The Loft of Eureka.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Colfax Christian Church. Jessica Williams will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Wednesday prior to the funeral.

Memorial donations can be made in Ellie’s name to the Colfax Christian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Ellie was born on October 23, 1935, in Colfax the daughter of Delmar and Sarah (Ferguson) Lake. She married Ronald E. Shoemaker on July 31, 1954 in Colfax. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2025.

Ellie is survived by her four daughters: Judy (David) Greenlee, Kelli (Mark) Klinzing, Vicki Ledbetter, and Jill (Darwin) Schieber. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Sarah, Eric, Amy, Kelsey, Kristine, Kyle, Amber, Tanner, Alexis, and Cassie. Also surviving are 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Ellie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two siblings Vernon Lake and Patricia Potter.

Ellie loved spending quality time with her daughters. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting in her free time and she always looked forward to seeing her friends at Wine Wednesdays.
