Ellen Mae Johansen, 94, Fairbury and formerly of Saybrook, died at 2:30 pm Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her residence in Fairbury.

Her visitation will be 9:30 to 10:15 am Monday, August 13, 2018 followed by the funeral at 10:30 am at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  Burial will be at 1:30pm Monday at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Kankakee.  The family suggests memorials be given to the Saybrook Christian Church.

Mrs. Johansen was born May 31, 1924 in Danforth, IL the daughter of William and Edith Zeedyk Morris.  She married Cornelius Johansen on October 16, 1943 in Sacramento, CA.  He died on January 7, 1998.

Survivors include her son, David (Kathy) Johansen, Fairbury, two grandsons, Dave (Carrie) Johansen, Pontiac, Kristopher (Maureen) Johansen, Maryland, three great grandsons, Devon and Jacob Johansen, Pontiac and Declan Johansen, Maryland.

She is preceded in death by six brothers.

Mrs. Johansen was a longtime member of the VFW auxiliary, Bourbonnais and a member of the Saybrook Christian Church.
