Obituary
Fairbury – Peg Runyon, 88, of Fairbury passed away at 4:10am on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Fairbury. Pastor Steve Anderson will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Peg was born July 9, 1922 in Macomb the daughter of Albert and Florence Goodwin Hatch.
She married Edgar Runyon in 1940 in Burlington, IA. He died September 13, 1996.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Runyon of Fairbury; one son Wayne (Brenda) Runyon of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents , one sister, one daughter, one son, and two great grandchildren.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairbury and Rebekah Lodge.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Fairview Haven, First Baptist Church Mission Fund or Spina Bifida.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Fairview Haven for the love and care extended to Peg during her stay.
