Obituary
Elmer D. Bachtold, 86, of Anchor died May 22, 2007 at 3:50AM at Heritage Manor in Colfax.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 11:00AM at the Cropsey Cemetery, Cropsey. Rev. Tim Lembke will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Cropsey Methodist Church or OSF Hospice, Bloomington. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Elmer was born March 27, 1921 in Strawn a son of Gus and Katherine Kafer Bachtold.
He married Eunice B. Brucker on January 21, 1939. She died Feb. 19, 1993.
Surviving are one son Warren (Kathy) Bachtold of Lexington; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Edward, a grandson Kurt, two great grandchildren, Derica Jo and Weston Curtis Friedman, and five brothers and one sister.
Mr. Bachtold was a farmer all his life in the Anchor Cropsey area.
He was a member of Cropsey Methodist Church.
