Obituary
Streator – Elna Winterland Wainwright, 75, of Streator, passed away September 11, 2011 at Proctor Hospital, Peoria.
She was born June 29, 1936 in Fairbury, the daughter of Arnold and Grace Sheppelman Winterland.
She married Robert Wainwright of Streator on November 10, 1960. He died March 7, 2011.
Bob and Elna loved to travel. They toured 21 countries.
Survivors include, one sister, Arnola Davis of Fairbury, one brother, DeLaine Winterland of Cropsey and 6 nieces, Cheryl Felger of AZ, Carol Davis of CO, Karen Groseclose of MO, Kathryn Smith of Fairbury, Julie Davis of Fairbury, and Elaine Winterland of Washington DC and one nephew, Gary Winterland of Cropsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Bert Davis, Jr and a good friend, the late Dorothy Mortimore of Pontiac.
All are welcome to a graveside service that will be held at Graceland Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2011. The Rev. Corinne Blissard will be officiating.
Elna had been hospitalized for 13 days prior to her death.
Memorials may be made to Dominy Memorial Library fund or the Brian J. Munz Safety Complex.
