Obituary
Elsie E. Bachtold, 92, Fairbury, died at 8:05 am Friday, September 21, 2012 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Tuesday at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to OSF Hospice or Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Mrs. Bachtold was born September 1, 1920 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Henry and Matilda Frank Menold. She married Willis R. Bachtold on February 16, 1947 in Peoria, IL. He survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include two sisters, Tillie Nussbaum, Bloomington, Louise Hartman, Fairbury and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two brothers.
Mrs. Bachtold was a homemaker and had worked as a clerk at the Walton's Department Store, Fairbury. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
