Mrs. Thomas was born May 5, 1918 in Rural Anchor, Il to Louis and Mary (Lanz) Brandt. She married A. David Thomas on July 27, 1956 in Colfax, IL. He Survivies. Also surviving are two daughters, Gail (William) Lane of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Nancy (Ray) Aaron of Montgomery, Il. Three sons, David (Laura) Davis, Inverness, IL, Ross (Brenda) Thoms, Ft. Smith, Arkansas., and A. David (Maryanne) Thomas III, Lake Villa, IL. Two brothers, William (Margaret) Brandt, Union Grove, Wisconsin, Leon (Dorothy) Brandt, Colfax, and a sister, Lois (George) Wise, Dalton, IL.
She has 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by a brother, Marvin Brandt, and a sister, Edna Decker.
Her funeral will be held Friday June 16, 2006, 2:00 P.M. at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Colfax, IL. The Rev. Diane Yentes will officiate, of the Colfax United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor.
Memorials may be made to, St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor or to the Colfax Uited Methodist Church.
Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of the Anchor high school and she was a homemaker.
Emalyn was a Christian in faith.
