Obituary

Ernest "Ernie" Schove 54 of Fairbury passed away at 2:52 pm, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City, IL.

Funeral services will be 2 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Twp. Cemetery, rural Fairbury with military rites conducted by Fairbury American Legion post #54 and VFW post #9789.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Friday, September 23, 2011 and one hour prior to services on Saturday also at the memorial home in Fairbury.

Ernie was born July 26, 1957 in Fairbury the son of James and Donna (Moulton) Schove. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives him in Fairbury. He was married to Susan Wessels, she survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include three children, Steven Schove of rural Chenoa; Heather (Curtis Jones) Schove and his children, Ali and Belize Jones of Fairbury and Zachariah Schove of Fairbury; two sisters, Linda (Terry) Boyd of Lexington; Gail (Chuck) Huling of Fairbury and many nieces and nephews.

Ernie was a 1975 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey H.S. and enlisted in the US Navy serving six years with training in electronics. He was employed by Medi-Com Cable Co. for 30 years.

Ernie enjoyed hunting, fishing and any activity that he could enjoy nature. He loved his family and spending time with friends. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice.
