Obituary
Esther Lydia Kiefer, 98, Fairbury, died at 1:05 am Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Miss Kiefer was born May 30, 1916 in Strawn, IL the daughter of George and Lydia Wenger Kiefer.
Survivors include 5 nieces and nephews, Joy E. Pipkin, Refugio, TX, Charles E. Wenger, San Tan Valley, AZ, Wanda Kiefer, Easley, SC, Marsha (Don) Simmons, Tampa, FL and Wayne Runyon, Morris, IL.
She is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Miss Kiefer was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
