Obituary
Esther Mae Roberts, 94, of Clinton; formerly of Chenoa area passed away at 6:45 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at her daughters residence in Clinton.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Chenoa Baptist Church, Chenoa with Pastor Christian Ricker officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be one hour prior to her service at the church on Tuesday. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Esther was born February 4, 1918 in Campbellsville, KY the daughter of William and Mary (Johnson) Barnett. She married S. Frank Lee in July of 1935 he passed away on February 3, 1955. She later married Charles Roberts on April 30, 1959 in Chenoa; he passed away on August 18, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris (Louis) Gilliland of Morton; Martha Snyder of Clinton; one son, Sam (Vicki) Lee of Pontiac; one step-son, Chester (Janice) Roberts of Shawnee, KS; one sister, Mary Lawson; three brothers, Leonard (Jenny) Barnett, Richard (Virginia) Barnett all of Campbellsville, KY; and Ralph (Dorothy) Barnett of Mt. Washington, KY; Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and one daughter, Shirley Aizenstat.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Chenoa Baptist Church, Chenoa or the charity of donor's choice.
Esther was a life-long member of the Chenoa Baptist Church, Chenoa. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
