Eva Dazey Barnard, 98 of Chenoa, died at 8:05 am, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Heritage Healthcare, Gibson City with family present.

Funeral services will be 10:30, Friday, November 17, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Thursday, November 16, 2017 also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Chenoa Baptist Church or the Chenoa Food Pantry both in Chenoa.

Mrs. Barnard was born September 8, 1919 in Wayne County, IL; a daughter to Oscar and Laura (Wolfe) Cook.  She married Otho Edgar Barnard on November 21, 1936 in Johnsonville, IL.  He preceded her in death on June 20, 1991.   Her parents, three brothers, one sister, two son in-laws, Herb Bockman and Keith Klitzing and one daughter, Jeanne Klitzing also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Bockman of Pontiac; one son, Ted (Lyn) Barnard of Chenoa; one brother, Dale (Mary) Cook of Browning, TX; eight grandchildren, Ron, Jeff and Mike Poshard, Brian Klitzing, Jennifer Weber, Matt and Brett Barnard and Kelli O'Hern, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

As a life-long member of Chenoa Baptist Church, Eva served as church clerk for over 25 years.  She loved her church and supported many areas of ministry throughout the years.  Eva was a living example of Faith and Love to her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
