Lexington - Evelyn Marie Mason, 83, of Lexington passed away at 2:07 pm, Monday, June 3, 2024 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm, Friday, June 7, 2024 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Brian King officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation with the family will be 1:00 to 2:30 pm, prior to the funeral on Friday also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Community Cancer Center, Normal.

Evelyn was born March 14, 1941 in Springfield, IL; the daughter of Walter and Lois (Tucker) Hall. She married Stanley Mason on June 24, 1964 in Bloomington.  Her husband, Stanley passed away on February 4, 2010.  Her parents, one brother, one sister, son in-law, Vernon Steidinger; granddaughter, Angela Steidinger and nephew, Elmer Angell also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Roger mason of Lexington; one daughter, Kimberly Steidinger of Punta Gorda, FL; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Her quiet demeanor and sensitive, caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
