Obituary
Fairbury: Fannie Mae Steffen, 93, Fairbury died 2:40pm Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with the Ministers of the Church officiating. Burial will be at the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury. Visitation will be 4:30 to 8:00pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45am Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Steffen was born December 3, 1912 at Indian Grove Twp. The daughter of Sam and Lena Broquard Zehr Sr. She married Alpha Louis Steffen January 3, 1937 at Fairbury. He died October 21, 2000.
Surviving are 4 sons: Wayne (Linda) Steffen, Hudson, Henry (Lola) Steffen, Fairbury, Herbert (Georgia) Steffen, Cropsey, J. Chris (Kay) Steffen, Fairbury. 2 sisters: Anna and Aldine Steffen both of Fairbury.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Mrs. Steffen was a lifetime resident of the Livingston County Area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
The family suggests memorials be given to Fairview Haven Nursing Home or the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery both at Fairbury.
