Obituary
Fern Lora Speedon, 75, Fairbury, died at 1:45 pm Thursday, July 23, 2009 at her residence.
Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 5:30-6:30 pm at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm Wednesday at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society or Fairbury VFW.
Mrs. Speedon was born on June 13, 1934 in rural Chenoa the daughter of Henry and Fannie Regenold Webb. She married Jose L. Speedon on November 17, 1967 in Ottawa, IL. He died on March 14, 2007.
Surviving are two sons Jose L. "Joey" Speedon of Fairbury; James Chalcraft of Albion, IL; three daughters, Sandra (Steven R.) Williams of Smithfield, IL, Bonnie (Bo) Strickland, and Connie Stalter both of Hockley, TX; one brother, Leroy (Ingrid) Webb of South Beloit, IL and one sister, Rosemary (Lynn Sr.) Todd of Pontiac, IL; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Annabelle Johnson, and two brothers, Wayne Webb, George Webb, one Infant brother, a grandson, Christopher Duane Murray, and a granddaughter, Christy Lee Murray.
