Obituary
Colfax – Florence "Flossie" Rigsby, 90 of Colfax, died at 12:45pm, June 11, 2016, at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Home, Chenoa.
Cremation rites have been accorded per her request. A private family service is planned for a later date.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Meadows Mennonite Retirement Home, Chenoa or a charity of the donor's choice.
Florence was born May 6, 1926, in Eureka the daughter Hans and Maude Johansen.
She married Francis Rigsby on December 24, 1947, in Stigler, OK.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, one sister and a son, Brad Rigsby.
Survivors include two sons, Barry (Diana) Rigsby of Colfax and Bart Rigsby of Fairbury; and daughter-in-law, Ellen Rigsby of El Paso. She has eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Florence attended Colfax Schools and graduated from Colfax High School.
Flossie's entire family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Samuel Steffen of Lexington for his exceptional care and compassion and the entire Meadows Mennonite Home for the wonderful care she received while a resident there.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
