Fairbury – Frank D. Vaughan, 91, of Fairbury, passed away at 11:41 pm, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Evenglow Inn, Pontiac.

His funeral will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Fairbury. Pastor Daryl Evans will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be from 1-2:00 pm, also on Sunday at the church.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Fairbury.

Frank was born June 24, 1934, in Pond Creek, the son of Raymond and Mabel (Smith) Vaughan. He married Carol Sue Huddleston on December 5, 1952, in Fairbury. She died March 13, 2021.

Surviving are his children, Gail McWhorter of Goldsboro, NC, Mark (Kathy) Vaughan of Venice, FL, and Donna Hammond of Goldsboro, NC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Huddleston of Fairbury and Ron and Kara Beth Huddleston of GA; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Phyllis Miller and Joanne Davis; grandson, Geoff Davis; six brothers and two sisters.

Frank worked for Honeggers, managed Maywood Park Horse Racing, and course superintendent at Indian Creek Country Club.

He was a member of and had a great love for his family at the First Baptist Church in Fairbury.

Frank was an avid golfer and enjoyed Harness Racing.
