Obituary
Fred Royal, 65, of Chenoa passed away at 2:16 pm, Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
His funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Christian Ricker officiating. Burial will take place in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12:45 pm Saturday also at the memorial home in Chenoa.
Fred was born December 6, 1943 in Grundy, VA the son of Paul and Lillian (Martin) Royal. He married Peggy Whitaker on July 1, 1983 in Niles, IL. She survives in Chenoa.
Also surviving are, one son; Ken (Sue) Royal, Crystal Lake, one daughter; Cheryl (Erol Feratovic) Royal, Oak Park, three step children; Tammy (Mike) Griffin, Plainfield, Vicky (Pat) Jonasen, Minooka, Derrick (Nichoel) Bastian, Plainfield, one sister; Brenda (Johnny) Ybarra, Sandwich, one brother; Roger (Sandra) Royal, Chenoa and eleven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Fred Royal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Pauline Burnette.
Fred enjoyed NASCAR racing and for many years he raced at Santé Fe Speedway in Willow Springs, IL. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
