Colfax- Gary Kessinger, 68, of Colfax, passed away at 10:33 am, October 7, 2025, at his residence.
Gary's funeral will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 13, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax. SAMS Marcia Buchs will be officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-6:00 pm, Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax and 10-10:45 am, Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Gary was born August 2, 1957, in Normal, the son of Gerald and Sharon (Bitterberg) Kessinger. They preceded him in death.
Surviving are his brothers, David Kessinger and Mark Kessinger both of Colfax; uncle, Gene (Pat) Bitterberg; cousins, Debra (Michael) Brophy, Lisa (Steve) Molsbe, Judy (Walt) Christensen, and Phyllis (Carroll) Imig.
He beloved pets, dogs, Daisy, Tequila, and Buddy and cats, Sophi, Missy, and Thomas.
Gary served in the United States Army from 1975-1978. He enjoyed his travels across seas, including Germany and Amsterdam.
He was a welder at Interlake in Pontiac for 10 years and Mitsubishi for over 25 years.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax, ABATE, and NRA.
Gary was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding. He loved the outdoors, shooting his fire arms, fishing, working in the garden, traveling with his family throughout the United States and the Floating Annual River Trip with friends and family.
