Obituary
COLFAX - Gene Kirby, 61, of Colfax, died October 26, 2007 at 6:36PM at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2007 from 3-6:00PM at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Funeral will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:00AM also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
In lieu of flowers family suggests that memorials be made to EMCAA or the donor's choice of charity.
Gene was born February 14, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, KY the son of Robert and Marie Gentry Kirby. He married Patricia Brock on June 11, 1976 in Cropsey. She survives in Colfax.
Also surviving are his mother Marie Pittman of Mt. Vernon, KY; his children, Robert (Mary Beth) Kirby of Colfax, Richard (Dawn) Kirby of Covell, Michelle (Victor) Noel of Cooksville, Rebecca (Brian) Fleenor of Normal, Karla Blake and James Kirby both of Colfax; 17 grandchildren; three sisters, Judy (Earl) Phillips, Betty Jo Bussell and Donna (Ronnie) Mink all of Mt. Vernon, KY; two brothers, Jimmy (Linda) Kirby and Bobby Kirby both of Mt. Vernon, KY.
Gene was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one son Rodney Kirby.
