George will most be remembered for his light hearted attitude and the love he showed his family daily. If the way to measure a man is by counting his friends George Popejoy maintained a very large presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club or the Brian J. Munz Safety Complex.
