Obituary
Georgie M. Pitcock, 95, Fairbury died at 4:20pm Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with the Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, April 13, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to the Dominy Memorial Library; First Baptist Church; Fairview Haven Nursing Home, all of Fairbury or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Pitcock was born December 24, 1913 in Glasgow, Kentucky the daughter of Letcher and Bertie Ann Rigdon Houchens. She married Aelic Gordon Pitcock on July 6, 1935 in Glasgow, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1991.
Surviving is one daughter, Nancy (Arnold) Ifft, one son, Gordon "Terry" (Linda) Pitcock, both of Fairbury; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
She is preceded in death by one foster brother and three sisters.
