Gerald B. Meyer's Obituary
Gerald B. Meyer, 78, of Fairbury, died at 9:36 am Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
A private graveside inurnment will be held at a later date in Forrest Township Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Meyer was born September 24, 1937 in Hoopeston, IL; the son of Colson and Geraldine (Jackson) Page. He married Helen Whitfill on October 17, 1964 in Fairbury, IL. She survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include 3 sons, Tom (Becky) Whitfill of Fairbury; Brent (Chris) Meyer of Machesney Park; Todd Meyer of Fairbury; favorite Aunt, Beverley (Moose) Bunch of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Whitfill, Kelly (Willy) Sisco, Lucas Meyer, Zach Meyer; five great-grandchildren, Lyndon, Lucy, and Lane Whitfill, Braydon and Brenna Sisco.
Gerry served our country in the US Army as a Green Beret. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
