- Geraldine G Wagy-Umstattd , 86 of Cropsey, died at 2:21 PM on August 5, 2011 at her daughter's home.
Geri was born September 19, 1924 in Lima, OH, the first child of General and Georgia Preston Millsap. She married Eugene Umstattd, Sr and he preceded her in death March 21, 2010.
Survivors include one daughter, Georgia Bailey (Bob), Cropsey; two sons, Gerald Loeschen (Pam), Lockport, and Douglas Thompson (Crystal), Marceline, MO, and one brother, William Maier, Thomasboro. Also surviving are 7 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, 2 nieces & 1 nephew. Her parents, a son, a sister, a nephew, and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Geri worked for many years in the hotel business in Bloomington and was known for her expertise in the business. She will be sadly missed by many.
Visitation will be held at Duffy-Pills Memorial Home in Colfax from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 11. A prayer will be at 7:00 PM. The graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, August 12 at Cropsey Cemetery. Father Carl LoPresti will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colfax, or to St. Joseph's Hospice in Bloomington.
