Lexington – Gladys G. Jacobs, 103, of Lexington, passed away at 3:10pm, October 23, 2017, at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Home, Chenoa.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. Pastor David Bergelin will be officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Lexington Ambulance, C/O Lexington Fire Department.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Gladys was born July 21, 1914, in Cropsey the daughter of Webb and Stella Blundy Vance.

She married Don W. Jacobs February 15, 1939, in St. Louis, MO. He died April 30, 1991.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Charlene Jacobs of Lexington; grandchildren, Randy (Amy) Jacobs and Karen (Kevin) Edwards both of Lexington; grandson-in-law, Gary Beier of Normal; seven great-grandchildren, Kelli (John) Miramontes, Chad Beier, Grant, Nate, and Carter Jacobs, Ashtin and Blake Edwards and; one great-great- granddaughter, Shania Miramontes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Duane; granddaughter, Donna Rae Beier; two sisters and six brothers.

Gladys was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lexington.

She and her husband farmed many years in the Lexington and Colfax area.
