Glen Everett Zimmerman, 94, Forrest, died at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his residence, Forrest.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the North Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Forrest.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Friday at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to the Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Mr. Zimmerman was born December 16, 1921 in Saunemin, IL the son of Louis and Louise Mueller Zimmerman. He married Mildred Honegger on September 29, 1946 in Forrest. She survives in Forrest.

Other survivors include their children, Curtis (Cynthia) Zimmerman, Naples, FL, Rodney (Micki) Zimmerman, Trudy (Craig) Rudin, both of Chatsworth, Dennis (Pam) Zimmerman, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Zimmerman, both of Forrest, 28 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one brother, Allen (Melba) Zimmerman, Fairbury and one sister, Betty Hodel, Roanoke.

He is preceded in death by 5 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 son and 1 grandson.

Mr. Zimmerman was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest.
