Glenna C. Fillingham, 88, of Chenoa, died at 2:50 am, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Chenoa United Methodist Church with Pastor Debbie Honegger officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 pm, Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the Chenoa United Methodist Church or Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community.
Mrs. Fillingham was born March 13, 1926 in Chenoa, IL the daughter of A.R. and Zuleime (Butler) Cable. She married Lee G. Fillingham on August 18, 1946 in Chenoa. Her husband preceded her in death November 12, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister.
Survivors include three children; Gary (Linda) Fillingham, Lou Ann (Dan)Cavanaugh all of Bloomington; Avis (Brian) Hall of Plano, TX; one brother, John Cable of Bloomington; and four grandchildren; Stephanie Turenne, Yale Fillingham, Chase Fillingham and Nathan Cavanaugh, and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Kallen Fillingham.
Glenna was a 1944 graduate of Chenoa High School. She was a very active member of the Chenoa United Methodist Church, involved in choir, Bazaars and numerous activities. She was also a member of Chenoa Women's Club for many years. Glenna and her husband were lifetime farmers in the Chenoa area. She had a passion for quilting and was an excellent seamstress. Her family was her focal point and top priority in her life, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
