Gloria A. Gadberry, 56 of Fairbury, passed away at 11:05 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bloomington.
Funeral services for Gloria will be 11 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Downs.
Her visitation will be 4 to 8 pm, Monday, March 28, 2016 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to SELCAS, Fairbury or Duffy Ambulance Service in Pontiac.
Gloria was born May 20, 1959 in Fairbury the daughter of William and JoAnne (Richards) Schuler. Her parents, William (Lynn) Schuler of Minooka and JoAnne (Stephen) Harms of Chenoa survive.
Other survivors include her children, Kristopher Gadberry of Fairbury; Jaythen Gadberry; Russell (Shauna) Gadberry both of Bloomington; Jody (Sam) Fitzpatrick of Pontiac; two sisters, Debbie (Charles) Friant of Dixon; Diana (Dillon) Prendergast of Fairbury; one brother, Troy (Becky) Schuler of Chenoa; and six adored grandchildren, Gage, Chase, Kendyl, Kyla, Makayla and Bryson.
Gloria lived her life for spending time with her family and friends. Gloria had a special place in her heart for all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Gloria was employed by OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac and honorably served her community as an emergency medical technician for both SELCAS and Duffy Ambulance. She touched the lives of all that she blessed, with her warm touch and caring smile.
Gloria spent the last year of her life fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer. She showed her family and all who knew her, her strong will and determination to live.
Gloria was deeply loved by all that knew her, and she will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
